I’m Loló Bello, an educator, film and theater producer, and a proud advocate for Latin American and Caribbean culture. I was born in Caracas, where I studied Pedagogical Sciences at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. After more than 10 years of teaching, I moved to New York City to pursue a Master’s in Public Affairs at Baruch College. I founded 333 Experience, a production company, with my partner and a close friend. In 2016, we produced *Translúcido*, a film that became a turning point for us.
I’ve worked in marketing and entertainment, starting as the coordinator of an agency specializing in digital marketing and crowdfunding, and later as the coordinator of the Venezuelan Film Festival in New York for three years. Since 2014, I’ve been an independent Spanish teacher. That year, I launched Sharp Language with a unique opportunity to teach a former Team USA soccer player enough Spanish to connect with his Spanish-speaking audience. From there, I created "Spanish Lessons For Fútbol Fans," a program that has expanded into areas like music, food, and Netflix. I’ve also explored new ways to teach Spanish, with Esdrújula being one of the most exciting projects.
Over time, I’ve come to realize that curiosity is key to growth, and I try to cultivate that sense of curiosity in everything I do.
Sharp Language is an educational platform that promotes the learning and adoption of new languages in unconventional, fun, and relevant ways. Our goal is to develop an ecosystem for each language in targeted cities, focusing on meaningful learning and daily practice that aligns with each student's desired level of involvement.
In the coming years, Sharp Language aims to become a leading reference in Spanish and language learning and its daily integration among people living in multilingual environments. We also strive to provide an effective and beneficial alternative for individuals with limited access to quality language education, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn and practice new languages in their daily lives.
